The 2019-2020 school year is coming to an end much differently than anyone would have ever expected. Generally at this time, I along side other members of our staff am planning to stand in front of a crowded gymnasium full of Central Valley supporters to honor our students for their successes academically and athletically. This year we won't get that chance--at least not in any typical fashion. Our hope, even though we would love to be enjoying all our end-of-the-year celebrations in person, is that all of our students and their families are staying safe and healthy and finding some joy in that extra time spent with one another.
There are certainly life-moments that we are all missing out on that we may never get the chance to relive with this same group of people. As unfortunate as that may be, it is important though to remember that those moments missed are without a doubt being replaced by new ones. New moments that are defining our students futures in ways that we as a school system may have never been able to create. So take advantage of this new found time and try to make the best of the days we have ahead. One day, whenever that may be, this will all pass and things will go back to a state of normalcy, and at that point we will be back and as strong as ever supporting our students in the classroom and on our courts & fields.
A big thank you goes out to all of our coaches, sponsors and workers that help keep our activities running, sometimes this is a thankless job but you all deserve a huge amount of praise for everything you do!
