Central Valley will be sending 10 qualifiers to the NSAA State Track Championships on Friday and Saturday, May 17 & 18 at Omaha Burke High School! The Cougars had an excellent showing at the District Meet in Broken Bow last week bringing home Central Valley's first Girls District Track Championship! The following 10 qualifiers will be competing across 10 separate events Friday and Saturday.
Neleigh Poss (Fr.):
100 meter dash: Qualifying by time running a 13.38s at the district meet. This event begins at 4:35 PM on Friday running in Lane 2, Heat 3 of 3.
200 meter dash: Qualifying by time with a 28.01s at districts. This event begins at 7:35 PM on Friday running in Lane #1, Heat 2 of 3.
High Jump: Meeting qualifying height placing 3rd at a districts jumping 5'0". This event begins at 1:00 PM on Saturday.
Jackson McIntyre (So.):
100 meter dash: Qualifying by placing 2nd at districts running a 11.51s. This event begins at 4:35PM on Friday running in Lane 5, Heat 1 of 3
200 meter dash: Qualifying by placing 1st at districts running a 23.10s. This event begins at 7:35 PM on Friday running in Lane 4, Heat 2 of 3.
Long Jump: Qualifying by placing 1st at districts, jumping 19'11". This event begins at 10:30 AM on Saturday, jumping in Flight 2 of 3.
McKenzie Johnson (So.):
Pole Vault: Qualifying by placing 2nd at districts, vaulting 7'6". This event will begin at 1:00 PM on Saturday.
Morgan Behnk (So.):
400 Meter Dash: Qualifying by placing 2nd at districts, running a 53.81s. This event will begin at 5:15 PM on Friday, running in Lane 8, Heat 2 of 3.
Dani Wadsworth (So.):
High Jump: Meeting qualifying height, placing 4th at districts, jumping 4'11". This event begins at 1:00 PM on Saturday.
Reilly Young (Jr.):
Discus: Qualifying placing 1st at districts (for the 3rd year in a row), throwing 125'8". This event begins at 5:30 PM on Friday, throwing in flight 2 of 2.
Taya Kolar (Sr.):
High Jump: Qualifying placing 2nd at districts, jumping 5'0". This event begins at 1:00 PM on Saturday.
Ashlyn Wright (So.), Vanessa Wood (Fr.), Devyn Erickson (Sr.), Neleigh Poss (Fr.). and alternate Colby Grossart (Sr.):
400 Meter Relay: Qualifying by placing 1st at the district meet, running a 52.24s. This event begins at 10:45 AM on Saturday, running in Lane 5, Section 2 of 2.
