Restrictions

High School winter athletics are set to begin this week with basketball on Thursday night, December 3rd and wrestling on Friday, December 4th. As COVID-19 continues to disrupt all things normal, spectator limitations will be in place for games all winter long. Current Directed Health Measures in Nebraska, set to expire on December 31, limit spectators to members of participants households only. Those DHM's could however be extended or altered to restrict further.

For basketball games, participants would include basketball players, coaches, cheerleaders, and dancers (on nights when they are dancing).

Each family should have received passes that were sent home with those participants. Those passes are required to enter all home games throughout the season.

Away games will differ depending on gym capacity, and individual school restrictions.

The first wrestling meet to be held at Southwest High School this Friday, December 4th will limit spectators to Parent's Only. Those parents attending will also need a pass for admission, which was sent home with wrestlers on Wednesday.

These situations are not ideal, but all schools are doing their best to keep student athletes competing this winter!

We will keep everyone up-to-date with any changes!
