Happy Mother's Day to all of our Central Valley Mothers! Friday was Muffins with Mom at the elementary school and the students got to spend time making a bracelet and enjoying a muffin with moms, grandmas, aunts, and other guardians. Thank you to our Central Valley PTO for purchasing the bracelet material and muffins, to Kriewald Cookie Creations for designing and baking the muffins, to Mrs. Katie Davis for the beautiful decorations, and to all of the elementary staff who assisted and supported as needed. It was a great day!
The 2nd grade students visited the Edgerton Explorit Center in Aurora yesterday, and had a great time in the "Explorit Zone". HOW FUN!

Due to incoming severe weather, Central Valley will be dismissing school early today. The elementary school will dismiss at 1:45 pm and the high school will dismiss at 2:00 pm.

SPRING CONCERT TIME!
This is just a reminder that the middle and high school band and choir concert will be this Thursday at the high school in the gym. The concert begins at 7 pm. Students need to arrive at 6:30 pm and wear nice dress clothes. We hope to see everyone there as our students perform one last time and we celebrate their accomplishments this year!

Our 4th grade students had a great time at the Ashfall Fossil Beds on Friday. They got to explore museum exhibits regarding the history of the park, walk several nature trails, talk with researchers about fossil excavation, and become kid paleontologists by digging in the fossil sandbox.

REMINDER: Any sports physical scheduled on or after May 1, 2024 is valid for the 2024-2025 school year! Contrary to popular practice, you do not have to wait until the day fall practices begin. :)
It was Pancakes with the Principal today at CVE. So proud of our April Cougar Community Recognition staff and Star Student winners. Conference Jr High Track meet in Burwell tomorrow will start with running events at
10 AM followed by field events at 1PM.
The bus will leave from Greeley at 8AM and leave at 8:20 from Scotia.
The kindergarten students had a lot of fun at the Kearney Children's Museum last Friday. They were able to explore a wide variety of hands-on learning interests that included an art studio, science center, train depot, grocery store, bank, fire station, and agriculture area.
CVPS students from Wolbach will be transported to the Wolbach school. Our route busses from Wolbach will not be running. Parents will have to pick those students up at the Wolbach school. Any questions call 308-223-0114.

Great work CVE's April Cougar Community Recognition winners! Our Star Student winners did an awesome job of working on RESPONSIBILITY all month long. Special thank you to Mrs. Jeni Leth, Mrs. Michelle Linke, and Ms. Gabby Martinez for their commitment and dedication to making Cougar Nation the very best. And congrats to Mrs. Julia Wood's 1st grade class for being our April Golden Spoon Award winner.
